With full-size jog wheels that feel just like those on the CDJ-3000, pitch bending and scratching on the XDJ-AZ are incredibly smooth. The mixer section inherits the intuitive layout of the DJM-A9, with all controls positioned to maximize playability. Access your cloud-based rekordbox library directly from the XDJ-AZ with CloudDirectPlay. You can use the latest version of your playlists and performance data, such as Hot Cue information, and even update it from the unit. This not only ensures a seamless DJ experience but also allows you to do all your preparation solely from your all-in-one system.

StreamingDirectPlay compatibility

With support for Beatport Streaming, the StreamingDirectPlay feature enables you to directly play tracks from Beatport's vast dance music library and the latest genre-specific playlists. You'll even get analysis data such as waveform, BPM, and grid information so you can easily mix new and diverse music into your sets.

Extensive device and DJ application compatibility

As well as playing tracks from USB drives, you can DJ by connecting to your PC/Mac or mobile device. And, if you want to showcase your individuality even further, you can play audio from external devices like turntables and samplers. The unit has a USB Type-C port for PC/Mac connection, so you can use rekordbox for Mac/Windows in Performance mode or Serato DJ Pro*1 and there's no need for a paid subscription plan for either. And, if you use the Wi-Fi® connection for rekordbox Link Export, you can conveniently access tracks from your PC/Mac or mobile device without needing to plug in cables.*2

Large touchscreen for seamless control, from selecting tracks to performing

The 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen on the XDJ-AZ doesn't just give you more visual information - it makes it easier to control everything too. Up to 13 tracks can be displayed at once - a massive increase from the 8 on the XDJ-XZ - so you can see more of your music and find songs quicker. Other advanced features include Playlist Bank, to which you can register up to 4 playlists for rapid access, Touch Preview, which allows you to preview tracks in playlists without loading them, and Touch Cue, which you can use to preview the upcoming section of tracks currently playing on the deck. All this makes track selection quick and smooth. And, with the option to display the status of the selected Performance Pad and Beat FX settings simultaneously, you can instantly grasp the information you need in order to perform.

Standalone 4-deck playback: DJ your way

Whether you want to add more sounds to your mix, create live mashups, go back-to-back with another DJ, or get more tracks lined up so you're ready to drop them at the perfect time, 4-deck playback support on the XDJ-AZ gives you the flexibility to perform however you like. You can seamlessly integrate CDJs into your setup too, so there's no need to switch decks. With PRO DJ LINK™ compatibility, beat and on-air information are synced across the players, so you'll feel in full control.

Ultra-low-latency wireless monitoring with SonicLink-compatible DJ headphones

Thanks to the integrated SonicLink transmitter, you can enjoy ultra-low-latency wireless monitoring with the HDJ-F10 professional DJ headphones. Press a single button to pair the XDJ-AZ with the headphones and you can move around the DJ booth or stage freely, knowing you'll never tangle or pull on a cable. SonicLink is AlphaTheta's own proprietary ultra-low-latency wireless technology. It transmits audio 20 times faster than the commonly used Bluetooth® SBC codec, so you'll never notice a delay between pressing a button or scratching with the jog wheels and hearing the sound from the output.

If you're familiar with the preceding XDJ-XZ, you'll notice various upgrades have been made in the design of the XDJ-AZ. By incorporating a 32-bit D/A converter from ESS Technology, the sound quality has been significantly enhanced to create clear and dynamic audio that can rock large venues and clubs.

3-Band Master EQ

You can also use the 3-Band Master EQ to tweak the output sound according to the acoustic characteristics of the venue.

Mixer Settings

And the unit features a dedicated button for the mixer settings, so you can quickly check and adjust the mixer's status on-screen.

The standout audio quality that made ZLX the go-to choice for both musical performance/playback and spoken-word applications has been leveled-up with ZLX 15P G2. Maximum SPL has increased to 129 dB (ZLX-15P-G2), and premium components behind the grille ensure ZLX 15P G2 offers stunning acoustic performance for everyday use. The woofer and compression driver in each ZLX 15P G2 model are coupled to a patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) ported waveguide, enhancing low-frequency extension and delivering even vertical and horizontal coverage across all frequencies - all while allowing a more compact form factor. ZLX 15P G2 packs a sonic punch that's worthy of the Electro-Voice name.

SMART CONTROL AND CONNECTIVITY

ZLX 15P G2 powered versions are "Powered by Dynacord" - onboard premium electronics from Electro-Voice's sibling brand. Ultra-efficient 1000 W Class-D power amplifier modules feature an integrated four-channel, three-input digital mixer with high-quality effects. The mixer includes two XLR/TRS combo jacks and provides 24 V phantom power and Hi-Z compatibility. The mixer also includes pro features such as AFS (automatic feedback suppression), ducking, compression, loudspeaker delay settings and more.

Five system mode settings are available: Music, Live, Speech, Club and FRFR (full range, flat response). New for ZLX 15P G2 and a unique feature in this product class, the FRFR setting offers a flat/neutral frequency response to produce accurate results when used with modeling processors and guitar cab simulators. Powered ZLX 15P G2 loudspeakers also contain Electro-Voice-specific subwoofer presets that adjust for both gain and time alignment, resulting in full acoustic optimization. Additional high pass (HP) filters are available in the DSP for increased compatibility.

All ZLX 15P G2 loudspeaker and mixer functions can be remote-controlled and monitored using the Electro-Voice QuickSmart Mobile app, available for iOS and Android. The app allows pairing and grouping of up to six Bluetooth®-equipped Electro-Voice portable loudspeakers, in any combination. Users can wirelessly pair and link to two ZLX 15P G2 loudspeakers in a stereo setup using Bluetooth® true wireless stereo streaming. Local configuration can be completed in seconds using the single-knob encoder with LCD. The new, full-color LCD is larger and higher resolution, offering a crisp, clear view of system settings. ZLX 15P G2 makes sounding great simple for users of all levels.

FORM AND FUNCTION REDEFINED

Enclosure design, ergonomics and versatility were all a priority in ZLX 15P G2's development, resulting in a sleek-yet-solid blend of form and function that evolves elements of the first-generation model while incorporating key improvements to enhance the user experience. Available in black, the loudspeaker enclosure is constructed from durable polypropylene, featuring a new strengthening "spine" complete with an embossed Electro-Voice logo.

Symmetrical 55° sides allow for a steeper projection angle when the loudspeaker is placed in monitor position, making it easier for users to hear themselves, while also facilitating access to the amplifier input/control panel on the opposite side. A built-in "kick-back" angle allows the 12" and 15" versions to project upwards at a 23° angle in a vertical orientation. The stance of the enclosure has been redesigned to aim straight forward when placed directly atop a subwoofer (i.e., without the use of a pole).

A choice of mounting accessories is available to permanently install ZLX 15P G2 models: a "U" style wall bracket allows 12" and 15" models to be either vertically or horizontally mounted; a long-arm pole-mount style wall bracket for the 12" and 15" versions allows vertical mounting with tilt adjustment; a short-arm pole-mount-style wall bracket for the 8" version allows vertical mounting. Slipcovers are available for all model sizes.

READY FOR A WIDE RANGE OF USERS

These second-generation updates collectively ensure the series remains an excellent "first professional-grade PA" choice for any customer, while also expanding the utility value of the loudspeaker for specific user groups.

For example, DJs will benefit from a higher maximum SPL than the previous generation ZLX models, along with wireless stereo streaming and control, automatic feedback suppression, ducking and customizable system presets. The all-new enclosure design has a more vertical stance to streamline the visual impact of a ZLX 15P G2 setup - perfect for events where aesthetics are a priority. The slipcovers have a flat-top design that makes packing, stacking and storing the loudspeakers more efficient by creating a level surface.

Musicians will appreciate the built-in mixer with EQ, compression and effects, instrument and microphone input presets, a Hi-Z input and phantom power. Rental and event production companies will welcome the addition of an 8" model to the lineup, providing acoustic and aesthetic consistency in a smaller format to add to their ZLX inventory. And, of course, ZLX 15P G2 is a user-friendly option for any audio enthusiast looking for a step up in sound quality for at-home use, gatherings, parties, etc. Whatever you do, ZLX 15P G2 is ready for you.
