The PGXD2 wireless transmitter unit in this package employs a Shure Beta 58A microphone cartridge. The exceptional frequency response of this microphone has long been acclaimed, and literally reflects decades of development on Shure's behalf. The midrange is bright and balanced perfectly with the bass rolloff, making the 58A one of the most forgiving mics with regard to proximity effect. It will take higher gain before feeding back than other mics will, and does a fantastic job rejecting any off-axis sound. The neodymium magnet inside achieves high signal-to-noise output while the proprietary pneumatic shock mount system minimizes transmission of mechanical noise and vibrations. It boasts a Power, Mute, and Battery Status LED right on the side of the unit, so you can monitor your microphone system. This wireless handheld will give you an impressive 10 hours of continuous use on just 2 AA batteries, has an operating range of about 200 feet from the receiver.

The PGXD4 Wireless Receiver in this package delivers 24-bit, 48 kHz digital audio. It automatically selects its own functioning frequency, with up to 5 compatible channels per frequency band. It syncs to the transmitter unit with the click of a button, and stays frequency-locked to ensure a performance with no drop-outs or unexpected shifts. On the back of the receiver you'll find both an XLR and a 1/4-inch balanced output. The unit runs off a universal 12-18 volt DC adapter, which is included.
